Thing 17

I REALLY enjoyed the Classroom 2.0. I didn't know what to expect when I clicked on the link but was impressed with how user-friendly it seemed to be. I especially like the Forum and found many of the posts very useful. I had never heard of one of the tools that was asked about called Livescribe. After reading all the posts and then going to the website (that I also found in one of the post), I would love to have one for the teachers that I work with. I could benefit a great deal from some of the nings that I found on the Educational Networking site. They have a wealth of information that was really awesome to flip through and explore.

Twitter and Plurk are two sites that I have not visited before taking this class. I have texted before but have never felt the urge to become a member of anything like that. After reading the testimonials, I can see why educators use microblogs as a part of their PLN. I would consider microblogging a component of my PLN. I think that it would take some time to build up a network so that you could have responses to your post. There is no point in microblogging if no one ever sees your posts or responds. I did thoroughly enjoy using Edmodo and would consider using it in a classroom of older students. I believe that even 5th graders could be capable of using the site.
